BREAKING: Former PDP Stalwart, Bobby Ekepenyong, Returns To APC, Says Tinubu, Otu Deserve Second Term Tickets

Former People Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Bobby Effiom Ekepenyong, has returned to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ekpenyong, who is a former Mayor of Calabar, and erstwhile Secretary of the defunct All Peoples Party (APP), played a prominent role in 2023 general elections under PDP.
Ekpenyong will officially be received into the party on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Ikot Effiong Otop Town Hall, Ekori/Anaku ward in Odukpani Local Government Area.
Dignitaries expected at the event include Odukpani local government chairman, Hon Etim Aside, Rep Bassey Akiba, Commissioner for Justice, Bar. Edem Ani, Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Duties, Bar. Ekpenyong Akiba and chairman Local Service Commission, Bar Eyo Nsa Ekpo,
In an exclusive interview with THE BEAGLE NEWS in Calabar, Ekpenyong said: "I have been a manner of APC and serves in Governed Ben Ayade government before I left for PDP. Now, I am back to my home. I will work with all stakeholders to deliver President Bola Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu come 2027 general elections. The duo have done well."
