APC Convention Signals Mammoth Support for Tinubu’s Re-election — Otu

Governor Bassey Otu has described the massive turnout at the All Progressives Congress convention in Abuja as a strong indication of growing national support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Otu, who spoke to journalists at the event, said the level of participation and enthusiasm among party members reflects a consolidating political base for the President ahead of the next elections. He noted that the atmosphere at the convention underscored unity within the party and confidence in the administration’s leadership.

According to the governor, the scale of the gathering points to broader national alignment with the President’s policies and direction. He added that the turnout serves as an indication of public approval of the administration’s performance so far.

Otu further stated that the convention provided an opportunity to strengthen party structures and galvanise support across the country. He said achievements recorded by the administration within a relatively short period have contributed to the rising confidence among party faithful.

The governor also highlighted the strong presence of stakeholders from Cross River State, noting that the delegation demonstrated firm support for the President’s re-election bid.

In the same vein, former Cross River State governor, Ben Ayade, said the convention showcased the internal cohesion and strength of the APC.

Ayade commended the consensus approach adopted in selecting party leaders, describing it as a method that promotes unity and collective decision making. He noted that the level of agreement among stakeholders reflects a shared commitment to advancing the party’s interests.

He added that the working relationship between himself and Governor Otu reflects political stability in Cross River and reinforces support for the President.

Both leaders maintained that the convention has positioned the APC for continued electoral success and signalled its readiness for the next electoral cycle.
