2027: Orok Duke, Other Ex-Speakers Rally Support For Tinubu

Cross River State Representative on the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Rt. Hon. Orok Otu Duke,, has joined other former state assembly leaders to throw their weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's economic reforms and his second term ambition.

Duke who participated in the National Summit of the Forum of All Progressives Congress (APC) Former Presiding Officers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria (FOPSHA) in Abuja on Thursday said the bold initiatives introduced by president Bola Tinubu is geared towards bringing long term gains and repositioning our economy.

The forum in it's communique issued at the of the summit, endorsed the Renewed Hope Agenda of president Tinubu describing the removal of fuel subsidy and other economic reforms as painful but necessary steps for long-term prosperity.

The FOPSHA forum resolved to engage former legislators at all levels as foot soldiers to campaign and canvass for the re-election of president Bola Tinubu next year.

It further announced plans to embark on nationwide sensitisation and mobilisation across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to educate Nigerians on the policies and programmes of the present administration.

The summit, which had First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu as Special Guest of Honour, formally endorsed President Tinubu for a second term in 2027, citing his bold leadership and commitment to national rebirth, resolving to mobilise its members across the federation for the President's re-election.

The summit which brought together former presiding officers from across the 36 states had as its theme "Bold Leadership, Bold Reforms: From Subsidy to Renewed Hope, Assessing the Economic Trajectory and Visionary Leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Administration,".
