2027 Budget: FG Allocated N25bn For Ex-Militantd Reintegration

The Federal Government has earmarked ₦115 billion in the 2026 budget for the reintegration of former militants under the Presidential Amnesty Programme. 

The allocation aims to support “transformed” ex-agitators and promote sustainable development in the Niger Delta,

 *Key Points:* 

The ₦115bn is captured under the service-wide vote in the budget.

It is part of the ₦9.1 trillion allocated to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.

The programme focuses on reintegrating ex-militants into society.

President Tinubu presented the ₦58.18 trillion 2026 budget on December 19, 2025.

The budget theme is “Consolidation, Renewed Resilience and Shared Prosperity.”

₦5.41 trillion was earmarked for defence and security (9.3% of total).

The Senate passed the appropriation bill for a second reading on December 23.
