2027: Atiku Will Defeat Tinubu – Amaechi

Former Minister of Transportation and Vice Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rotimi Amaechi, has called for mass mobilisation for the party in Cross River State.

Speaking at an ADC Town Hall Meeting in Calabar on Saturday, Amaechi urged party supporters to begin grassroots evangelism for the ADC and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

He expressed confidence that Atiku will defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, but stressed the need for votes from Cross River to meet the constitutional requirement of 25% in 24 states.

According to him, Atiku remains the only candidate from the northern region, while over five candidates from the southern region are contesting under various political parties.

"After voting, defend your votes. If you don't defend your votes then you'll be encouraging them to rig," Amaechi told supporters.

He charged party members to take the message to every ward and unit across the state ahead of the polls.
