PDP convention set to kick Off As party Welcomes Govs, Delegates to Ibadan
The controversial national elective convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is about kicking off in Ibadan the Oyo State capital.
Delegates from across the nation have started arriving at the venue of the convention.
In a post on its official Facebook page on Friday, the party welcomed “PDP Delegates, Governors, and Stakeholders for Historic National Elective Convention”.
According to the post, the ancient city of Ibadan, the political heartbeat of Southwestern Nigeria, “is fully prepared to host the PDP National Elective Convention, #Ibadan2025”.
That party quoted one of its members, Kehinde Ogunlana, saying “Ibadan is not just hosting a convention; we are hosting the future of Nigerian democracy.
“From the bus stops to the hotels, from the roads to the stadium, every detail has been meticulously planned. Ibadan is safe, Ibadan is ready, and Ibadan welcomes the PDP family with open arms.”
The convention is being held despite a court orders stopping the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC from recognizing its outcome
