UNICROSS Alumni Congratulates Gov Otu, Deputy On S'Court Triumph

The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) Alumni Association, has congratulated Senator Bassey Otu and Rt. Hon. Peter Odey on their affirmation by the Supreme Court as the duly elected governor and deputy governor of Cross River State, respectively.

Speaking on behalf of the association, the National President, Dr. Inyali Peter, who extended hearty congratulations to Governor Otu and his deputy, immediately after the Supreme Court verdict, moments ago at Abuja, charged opposition parties to eschew the undue distraction of the Governor and rather join hands with him to move the state forward.

"His Excellency, let me, on behalf of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) Alumni Association, congratulate you and your able deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, very warmly on your affirmation as the duly elected governor and deputy governor of Cross River State, respectively.

"This victory, although overly familiar to Cross Rivererians because of the overwhelming support they gave you at the polls, brings an end to the fallible distractions perpetrated by opposition elements. Today, you have regained the ample time to repay the trust reposed on you by the people, as you have already given the citizens glimpses of the better days that await the State.

"As you hit the ground running, we pray God to grant you the wisdom and strength to take Cross River and its people to greater heights of prosperity. Congratulations, once again, Their Excellencies," the Alumni President's letter read, while expressing optimism that better days are imminent.
