UNICAL Suspends Activities of Federation of Igbo Students (FIS)
The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has suspended ALL activities of the Federation of Igbo Students (FIS) due to intense internal wrangling, bickering and Conflict.
According to Prof. Patrick Egaga, Dean of Student Affairs, the student body has been plagued by a coterie of leadership crisis capable of threatening and disrupting the peace, tranquility and harmony prevailing on campus.
Consequently, ALL FIS activities are hereby suspended forthwith until the Organization reconciles itself.
Prof. Egaga cautioned the current "leadership" to cease parading themselves as executives until a free, fair, and credible election is conducted.
He said the Student Affairs Division is willing to collaborate with FIS' to ensure a seamless and smooth transition.
