UNICAL Says Admission Not For Sale Says Admission Not For Sale, Warns Against Using Vc's Office to Swindle Prospective Candidates

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof Florence Obi, has stated that admission os not for sale, warning mischievous elements to stop defrauding prospective candidates.

Speaking at the Senate Chamber of the institution, Obi called on members of the public to be wary of some fraudulent people using her office to swindle many under the guise of offering admissions.

She lamented that the University did not exhaust its admissions quota last year and won't want to repeat a similar experience in the ongoing admissions process this year .

Prof Obi commended the new Admissions Officer, Dr Jerry Tawo for painstakingly briefing and enlightening Senate Members on the operations of the admission process.

Earlier, Dr Jerry Tawo, had in a presentation taken Senate members through several admissions concerns bordering on no of applicants, breakdown by states, subscription by departments, faculties, gender, registration, selection model and other related issues.
