Sen. Eteng Williams Celebrates Nigerians For Steadfastness, Loyalty At 64th Anniversary

 Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, representing Cross River central senatorial district, has commended the steadfastness and loyalty of the Nigerian people they mark 64th Independence Day,
Eteng, who doubles as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), further commended the resilience and unity of Nigerians amidst ongoing economic challenges.
The statement celebrating the nation’s independence,  read in part: "In the face of the current economic realities, Nigerians have demonstrated remarkable resilience. Our journey since independence has been marked by both triumphs and trials, but we remain committed to building a stronger, more prosperous future 
 "This celebration provides us an opportunity to reassess our progress, acknowledge our achievements, and rekindle hope for a brighter tomorrow. 
On the youth, William also hailed them for their commitment and urged them  not to lose hope despite the challenges they face, calling on them to draw inspiration from Nigeria’s milestones and continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, whose policies, he said, are designed to move the country forward.
Highlighting Nigeria’s indomitable spirit, Senator Williams 
"We equally commend the citizens of the country’s ability to overcome past challenges, including a civil war, economic difficulties, and socio-political turbulence. This enduring spirit has propelled Nigerians to excel globally across various sectors.
"As we celebrate this significant milestone, let us recommit ourselves to fostering equity, justice, peace, and national unity. Together, we can unlock Nigeria’s full potential and continue to serve as a beacon of hope and progress across Africa," he stated.
