However, THE BEAGLE NEWS gathered authouritatively that the voters and some electoral officers in some.polling units are allegedly being intimidated and harassed.

While some voters in Obanliku were allegedly being blocked along Sankwalla Main town Road leading to stop them form from going to cast their votes Bisu and Bbeaun Kayang polling unist in Obanliku, the collation officer for Yala II was allegedly being harassed by by some APC top shots from Yala.

It was allegedly that there was an altercation between the Collation Officer, Mrs Dorothy Inyang, and APC state chairman, Alphonsus Eba, over alleged attempts to arm twist the INEC officials.

But in a telephon interview with the Cross River Resident Electoral Commissioner,Prof. Gabriel Yomere, he said: "As I talk with you not such report before me. But now that you have called, I am going to reach across to know the true position of things.

Also in a telephone interview, the Yala II Returning Officer, Mrs. Dorothy Inyang, as at the time of filing this report, said: "So far I have not received any calls threatening me. I am sitting here at the LGA collation centre with my team and security is tight outside.

"I have not received any results from any polling units and ward. As at this time nothing is happening and I am free woman. Maybe what you have heard is a thought. But should anything happen thereafter, I would let the world know."
