PARIS 2024: FG Urges Super Falcons To Beat Ethiopia

Sports Development Minister Senator John Owan Enoh has charged the Super Falcons to redouble their efforts and get a win inother to reach the penultimate round of qualifiers for next year women Olympic football tournament in France.

Sentaor Enoh gave the charge in a message to the falcons after their draw in the first leg of the match on Sunday in East Africa.

The minister charged them to ensure a landslide win in today's match at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja.

Senator Enoh expressed optimism that the falcons will do the nation proud especially being that the match is being played at home.

He called on them to take charge, dominate and conquer the 'Feisty Lucy' of Ethiopia.

"Make full use of the home advantage, the cheers, the applause and support and give us the much needed win" he said.

Senator Enoh told the girls to make the win a welcome gift to the President Bola Tinubu Administration, being their first match in the country since the inception of the present administration stating that he will personally celebrate the victory as a gift to him.

"Even though we are in the race for qualification, I will be excited if the Super Falcons can beat the Feisty Lucy in today's match for the generality of Nigerians as we celebrate this new phase of our sports" he said.

The minister called on sport loving Nigerians not to only pray for their success but come in their multitude to watch the match.
