Otu Poised To Upgrade Facilities At COE To Global Standard

The Secretary to the State Government of Cross River, Professor Anthony Owan-Enoh has assured the management of the College of Education, Akamkpa of Governor Bassey Otu's readiness to reposition the school to meet globally acceptable standards.
Professor Owan -Enoh who spoke during a courtesy visit from management of the school stated that " Governor Bassey Otu is passionate about upgrading of facilities at the various state-owned educational institutions given their peculiar roles in providing basic manpower needs of the state and country at large.
He disclosed that the present administration is well aware of the daunting challenges confronting the school stressing that plans are underway to tackle the issues headlong.
According to him"The challenges you face, His Excellency is aware. As the maiden Provost of the institution, I am equally conversant with such challenges, as the SSG now, I have to ensure that solid steps are undertaken by the government to consolidate the achievements I facilitated while I served as the Provost"
He called for hard work, zeal, and commitment from the management to keep the school afloat.
Speaking, the Provost, Dr James Archibong congratulated the SSG on his appointment describing it as well deserved given the antecedents of Professor Owan-Enoh.
He expressed optimism in the ability of the new administration headed by Senator Bassey Otu to address the lingering issues impeding the development and expansion of the school vital to attaining set targets.
