The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, has disclosed that corps members will start receiving N77,000 by February this year, as against the usual N33,000 monthly allowance.
The NYSC DG made the disclosure while addressing the 2024 Batch 'C' Stream 11 corps members in Katsina State and assured them that the N77,000 monthly allowance was approved by the Federal Government.
According to the NYSC DG, "the N77,000 monthly allowance was approved by the federal government. This month has already ended, but once the budget is passed by next month, you will start receiving N77,000 instead of N33,000."
While pledging the NYSC's commitment to the welfare and security of corps members across the nation, he urged them to reciprocate the government's gesture by remaining law-abiding and good ambassadors of the country.
