Law Students Hail Sen Eteng Over Scholarship Empowerment Scheme

Indigent Students of Cross River Central Senatorial District at the Nigeria Law Schools, have hailed Senator Eteng Williams over the empowerment scheme for the constituents.

Eteng, during electioneering, promised not only to make laws for good governance, but would collaborate with relevant agencies to alleviate constituents' suffering and engage in poverty reduction across the senatorial district.

And on assumption of office, Eteng has embarked on some some social interventions programmes to bring succour to the people.

The latest being the scholarship grant to 21 indigent law students from across the six local government areas of the zone.

Senator Eteng Williams enjoined the students to remain focused, dedicated, hard-working and make central senatorial district proud by coming out with excellent results.

Commending the law maker in a statement signed by the President, Geda Asikong, and Secretary, Obasesam Itam, they said the payment of N200,000 each to 21 law school students from the senatorial district for the current academic session was a display of kindness and support, which Senator Eteng Williams, has been known for.

The statement read in part: “Your significant contribution will lighten the financial burden being faced by our parents and us as students and pave the way for us to focus more on our educational pursuits in other to achieve our goals at the Nigerian Law School seamlessly.”

The beneficiaries, who were drawn from different Law Schools across the country, thanked the Senator for coming to their aid, assuring that they would make the utmost use of the scholarship and strive towards academic excellence at the Nigerian Law School.
