The senator representing the northern senatorial district of Cross River state Senator Jarigbe Agom has debunked rumours that he will be decamping to the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking at a town hall meeting in the northern Senatorial district held in Obudu, on Saturday, the Senator said though there have even rumors that the member representing Obudu, Bekwara and Obanliku federal constituency Peter Akpanke and him are moving to the APC, he has no intention of leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“We are still members of the PDP and will remain members of the PDP, you people sent me to Abuja and also sent the house of Reps member to Abuja. There are some speculations that we both are moving to APC, I am not moving.”
“Please look around your communities, if the House of Reps member you sent with me to Abuja has not done anything, please look elsewhere, we are not talking about party here” the Senator said.
There are speculations already that Hon. Akpanke is warming up to switch to the APC in the coming days.
This is buttressed with a viral picture of Akpanke and some Cross River APC stalwarts which surfaced on the internet on Saturday.
