Ita-Giwa Celebrates Christmas with Newborn Babies at UCTH

In a heartwarming Christmas gesture, Senator Princess Florence Ita-Giwa visited the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) today to celebrate the birth of babies born on Christmas Day. 

Invited by the hospital's management, the senator was accompanied by her women of "Nbono Ibam" in spreading festive cheer by sharing gifts with the families of the newborns. Nbono Ibam During her visit, Senator Ita-Giwa spent quality time with the newborns, offering prayers for their health and future. 

She also listened to the concerns of the hospital management, demonstrating her commitment to supporting better healthcare delivery. 

In her address, Senator Ita-Giwa called on the government to prioritize funding for healthcare, particularly the upgrading of medical facilities across the country, to improve healthcare delivery for all citizens. She commended the staff of UCTH for their tireless dedication to providing essential healthcare services, especially to expectant mothers. 

“Let us work towards a better healthcare system that ensures every citizen has access to the care they deserve,” she remarked. The senator concluded by praying for the children to grow in a better world, filled with love and prosperity, and for God's blessings upon the babies and their families.
