Etung Chairman, Anom, Assumes Duty, Sues For Cooperation Among Management, Staff

The Executive Chairman of Etung local government area, Hon. Henry Anom, on Thursday, officially assumed office, with a familiarization tour of the Council Secretariat as well as other facilities in the area.
Addressing staff at the Council Secretariat, Chairman Anom called for cooperation, which, he said, is essential to achieving his vision for Etung. "By working together, the local government can tackle pressing issues, improve service delivery, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents," he he stated.
During the handing over ceremony from the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Mr. Anthony Ede, who tasked staff to accord the new leadership greater support and cooperation, the Chairman emphasized the importance of the new chapter, describing the transition as a significant event that has ushered the Local Government Area into a new era of development.
Accompanied by his Vice Chairman, Hon. Assam Amba and other officials, Hon. Anom, afterwards made an inspection visit to some local government owned assets, where he ordered the immediate removal of unauthorized structures defacing the entrance to the Council Secretariat. He also warned interlopers that have encroached into part of the land belonging to the Etung international market to leave immediately as government would not hesitate to use every legal means to reclaim its property.
As the newly appointed leader, Chairman Anom's primary responsibilities will include providing leadership and governance to the cocoa-rich local government area, ensuring that the dividends of democracy get to the grassroots.
By prioritizing meaningful engagements, policy implementation and other developmental services, Chairman Anom is poised to drive significant change and progress in Etung and set the LGA on a path towards progress and prosperity.
