Governor Otu Jets Out Of Country After Inaugurating 31 Commissioners
By Victor UDU
Barely a few hours after the completion of the long awaited inauguration of the state Executive Council, Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu, has left for a two week break.
Though the destination is yet unknown, The Beagles News has it on good authourity that he may be heading for London.
The governor's journey is expected to grant him access to medical attention and rest after the many weeks of hectic official engagements.
He is expected to join his wife, Reverend Eyoawan Otu, who left Calabar two weeks earlier.
Meanwhile the 31 Commissioners inaugurated yesterday are expected to report for duty today in their respective officers.
The Beagle news while roving round offices today, however, discovered that offices were empty as Civil servants are undergoing an audit and won't be around until this task from the Head of Service, Mr Timothy Akwaji is completed.
