Gov Otu Appoints Abi Royal Father, Edwards, Chairman Traditional Rulers Council

Cross River governor, Senator Bassey Otu has appointed the Paramount Ruler of Abi local government area, His Royal Majesty, Ovai Solomon Osim Edward JP as Chairman, State Traditional Rulers Council.
In a release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Anthony Owan Enoh, dated 21st June, 2024, said new Chairman's appointment was an exercise of the power vested in the Governor by Section 3 of the Council of Chiefs Law, Cap C15 Laws of Cross River State 2004.
The release further stated that the appointment, effective from June 21, 2024, is for a term of two years.
