Ebonyi House Of Assembly LG Committee Hails Council Chairman For Restoring Peace To Edda Community

The Chairman of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Committee on Local  Government and EBSIEC Matters, Hon Goodluck Obinna, has commended the chairman of Edda local government for  bringing peace to warring communities.

Mbam, representing Izzi East Constituency, also commended the council chairman for keeping council headquarters clean.

Speaking during the House Committee visit to Nguzu in continuation of its oversight function, he maintained that the solidarity of the Edda stakeholders to the  council Chairman, Prince Chima Ekuma Nkama, showed good leadership style which endeared him to his people.

The Committee Chairman maintained that the Committee's visit was  not for witch hunting but to ensure compliance with specification's and standards  projects as contained in the project approvals.

He  expressed satisfaction on the projects embarked  on by Edda Council Chairman.

Other committees members on oversight dutieduring the visit , Hon Abiri Godwin, Hon Joseph  Ununu, Hon Prince Nkemka Okoro Onumah, Hon Victor Nwoke, Hon Chinyere Nwogbaga,Hon Aloysius Nwodo, Hon Ifeanyi Nwakpu and Hon Arinze Lucas Chukwu 

The committee looked into their personnel, the contracts and jobs they executed and the disbursement of agricultural inputs.

Earlier,  the   Chairman, Edda local government area  Hon Prince Chima Ekuma Nkama, said he promised enthronement of peace in Edda community as well as ensured  execution of quality and meaningful  projects.

He listed the projects to include construction of  roads, sinking of boreholes, Streetlights.
