Eagles Move to 4th Place with Convincing Victory Over Rwanda

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up to 4th place on the Group C table after edging past the Amavubi Stars of Rwanda in a 2026 World Cup qualifier Group C match.
The match, which was played in Kigali, Rwanda, ended 2-0, with Galatasaray of Turkey striker Victor Osimhen scoring a brace to give Nigeria a much-needed victory.
The Super Eagles are now four points behind leaders South Africa, two points behind 2nd-place Benin, and just a point behind 3rd-placed Rwanda.
The victory is Nigeria’s first win in the World Cup qualifiers after losing one and drawing three.
Eric Chelle’s men will lock horns with the Cheetahs of Zimbabwe on Tuesday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Tuesday, March 25th.
