THE Government of Cross River has restated it desire to engender the development of all sectors of the state economy through massive infrastructural drive.
Dr Effefiong Nta Eke, Director General of the Cross River State Infrastructure Development Agency, made this position known while fielding questions from newsmen in Calabar.
In pursuant to this drive, the state infrastructural development agency boss promised to deliver on the mandate of the agency, noting that a blue print to actualise this had been put in place by the agency.
"I am just some months old here and trying to set up a befitting operational office space so we can Kickstart formally.
"I assure you that the environment I am given this responsibility is not alien and I am well vested to deliver on my mandate as Infrastructure Development remains the fulcrum of this administration. I'll try my best and I'll give my all," the DG reiterated.
He stressed on the need to interface with all contractors for effective service delivery and proper utilization of funds dedicated to jobs done and the ones yet to be done.
Speaking on the telecommunication infrastructure, the DG warns against any form of illegal excavation of government roads and defacing of pedestrians without due authorization by the Agency.
He vowed to carry out sanction against any contractor who violate this position.
He urged Cross Riverians to support the administration of Governor Otu, assuring the citizens of infrastructural development in the state.
