Attitudinal Change, Ethical Conduct and Effective Communication Skills, the Bedrock for Efficient Service Delivery, Says HoS

The Head of Civil/Public Service of Cross River State Obol. Dr. Innocent Eteng, has affirmed the role of Attitudinal Change, Ethical Conduct and Effective Communication Skills as very essential elements of efficient service delivery amongst Civil/Public servants in the State service.
The Head of Service asserted this when he declared open a 2 day workshop organized by the Ministry of Establishment, Training and Pensions held at the Women Development Centre, Parliamentary road Calabar.
The Head of Service commended management and staff of the Ministry for living up to expectations by organizing training workshops to reposition and equip Civil servants to render the desired service to the public.
Welcoming delegates to the event, the Commissioner, Ministry of Establishment, Training and Pensions. Hon. Mrs. Lawrencia Ita informed that the Governor His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu want Civil Servants to acquire the requisite knowledge and skills to support the people's first mantra of the Governor as it relates to service delivery.
The Commissioner advised participants to take the workshop serious and pay rapt attention to enable them benefit from the two day training.
Some of the topics and guest speakers were Attitudinal change, work ethics and values in the public service an overview with practical approaches by Sir, Michael Egbudu, Attitudinal Change, challenges and strategies by Sir, Fidelis Obo, Developing Effective Interpersonal Communication Skills at workplace by Elder, Chief Bassey Kufre.
Other topics that were presented included Developing Positive Ethical Behavior, Managing Self and others for optimal productivity and Effective Management of Teamwork for Peak Performance.
Highlights of the 2 day workshop is the constitution of communique drafting committee, discussion and interactive session, goodwill messages from stakeholders and group photograph.
Some dignitaries that graced the events were the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Establishment, Training and Pensions Barr. Peter Bisong, Director of Administration office of the Head of Service, Elder. Obeten O. Eteng Director of Training, Ministry of Establishment, Training and Pensions Mr. Patrick I. Ibu and the Director of Audit in the Ministry Mr. Festus Efutat.
The training has its target audience amongst Civil /Public Servants from grade level 2 to 7 in the Cross River State Civil/Public Servants.
