Appeal Court Dismisses PDP's Petition, Declares YPP's Ukong As Authentic Winner

Appeal Court sitting in Abuja Friday Dec 22, 2023 has dismissed the cross-appeal filed by Dr Glory Edet of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) seeking to nullify the election of Emmanuel Ukpong Udo of the Young progressive party (YPP) of Ikono-Ini federal constituency.

Dr. Edet appeal against the decision of the Tribunal ordering a supplementary elections in 33 polling units in Ikono, reserved.

Ukpong Udo was represented by Prof Yusuf Ali, SAN, as his lead counsel, with a team of 3 other Senior Advocates of Nigeria and a retinue of lawyers while Dr Glory Edet was represented by Uwemedimo Nwoko SAN.
