Afikpo Council Chairman Host Women Group, Tasks Mothers On Peaceful Homes

A delegation of the Women's Wing of Afikpo Town Welfare Association,ATWA Home Branch recently paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Afikpo Local Government Area, Nwachi Timothy in his office at Afikpo

Speaking, the Matrons of the Association, Lolo Martina Igariwey, and Lolo Nnenna Mark Mark Abani, commended the council chairman on the giant strides he has recorded since assumption of Office,l.

They disclosed that the visit is to explore areas of collaboration to advance peace, unity and progress in the local government area 

Speaking also, the President of the Women's Wing,ATWA, Mrs. Chinyere Okpani, briefed the council chairman on some of their plans for the year,l and notes that the group is ready to collaborate with the council to initiate programmes that would promote the welfare of women for the overall development of the council area
 
Responding, the Executive chairman of Afikpo local government area, Timothy Nwachi, commended the women for the visit and the hands of fellowship extended to him.

He assured them that his administration will continue to identify with them at all times, imploring women of the area to instill good moral values in their children and always join hands with their husbands to build peaceful homes that will make the larger society a safe place for humanity.

While enumerating the various life enhancing programmes of Gov Nwifuru for Ebonyi Women, the council boss urged the women to continue to support the state Governor and respect their Leaders for more dividends of Democracy at their doorstep

Dignatraries present include the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon (Mrs) Josephine Chinwe Nwogo, and the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon Dame Priscilla Alu Idam.
