CSO Urges President Tinubu to Address Nigeria's Worse Security Crisis

By Imoh Essien (Uyo)

A civil society organization, Unen Ndito Akwa Ibom, has expressed deep concern over Nigeria's worsening insecurity, citing daily banditry, terrorism, and senseless killings that have become a reality for Nigerians.

In a letter to President Bola Tinubu, signed and made available to the media by the National President of Unen Ndito Akwa Ibom, Amb. Michael Oton, the group urged the government to take immediate action to address the crisis, emphasizing that Nigerians no longer feel safe in their homes, on highways, or in places of worship.

The organization called for international cooperation, particularly in intelligence sharing and counterterrorism efforts, to support Nigerian security agencies in restoring peace and public confidence.

This appeal comes amid growing concerns from international leaders, including former US President Donald Trump, highlighting Nigeria's security crisis and the need for transparent leadership.
