C’River: PFN Chair Rallies Christian Leaders for CFAN Crusade

The Chairman of the Cross River State chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Apostle Trinity Ogar, has called on Christian leaders across the state to mobilise their members for the forthcoming Christ for All Nations (CfaN) crusade in Calabar.
The crusade is scheduled to hold from November 12 to 25, with church leaders expected to spearhead grassroots mobilisation and encourage widespread participation.
Ogar made the call in Calabar during a breakfast meeting with church leaders drawn from various blocs of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
He urged the leaders to set aside denominational differences and work collectively towards the success of the evangelistic programme, stressing the importance of presenting a united Christian front.
Ogar, who is also the Acting Chairman of CAN in the state, described the crusade as an opportunity for Christians to strengthen fellowship, reach more people with the gospel and contribute to the spiritual development of Cross River.
He urged church leaders to commence mobilisation in their churches and communities ahead of the November event.
Speaking at the meeting, the African Director of CfaN, Rev. John Darku, expressed delight at the large turnout of Christian leaders, describing it as a demonstration of collaboration towards the success of the crusade.
Darku said the programme would seek to change prevailing narratives in the state through what he described as divine intervention capable of igniting industrial and developmental transformation.
He disclosed that CfaN was targeting one million souls during the crusade and would require 1,000 counsellors, 500 ushers, choristers and instrumentalists.
“We are targeting a million souls to be won at the crusade. To ensure the success of the crusade, we will need a thousand counsellors, five hundred ushers, as well as choristers and instrumentalists,” he said.
Darku described the outreach as an opportunity for spiritual renewal and evangelism, stressing that it would complement rather than compete with existing churches by connecting converts with local congregations for continued discipleship.
He also noted that the expected influx of visitors could benefit hotels, restaurants, transport operators, traders and other businesses in the state.
Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, President of CfaN, is expected to minister at the crusade.
Darku appealed to media organisations across Cross River to support the programme through sustained publicity and coverage.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for Christian leaders to deliberate on mobilisation strategies and other preparations for the successful hosting of the crusade in Calabar.
