Yakurr Council Boss Tasks NYCN New Executive, Ekori Chapter on United, Purposeful Leadership

  The Chairman Yakurr local government area, Cross River state, Hon. Yibala Inyang, has called for a united and purposeful leadership among the newly sworn- in Executive of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ekori chapter, led by Comr Balimwor Ekpe.

  The Council Chairman who spoke through the SA Youth and Development in the council, Hon. Promise Ibiang gave the advice  during the formal inauguration of the Exco expressed excitement at the matured and responsible handing over.

 He described the peaceful transition to a new executive as a symbol of hope and  fresh start for youth leadership across the local government area.
stating, “We are proud of what has happened here today. This is exemplary of how leadership should be transited peacefully, respectfully, and purposefully.”
  
  In his inaugural speech,  the newly inaugurated NYCN Coordinator, Ekori Chapter, Comr. Balimwor Ekpe reaffirmed his dedication to the youths of Yakurr, especially the  underserved communities and outlined an actionable roadmap to reposition youth development in the area through skills and enterprise training to combat unemployment, access to quality education for all Yakurr youths, agriculture and digital Innovation to open new economic doors as well as peacebuilding and Youth engagement in Governance

 He promised to ensure that every initiative is  guided by transparency, inclusiveness, and collective responsibility and announced the dissolution of all standing committees and appointments to allow for a clean, fresh start, for fairness and equity in the new administration.

  "This is a shared victory. No youth will be left behind.Every ward will be heard. Every dream will be valued.”Let us not be divided by politics or tribe. Let us come together with bold hearts and clean hands to build a better Yakurr for ourselves and the generations to come.”

  Speaking at separate interviews, some respondents expressed hope that the new leadership change would usher in a real lasting progress

The event climaxed with a remarkable act of reconciliation, as the former contender in the NYCN elections Comrade Sunday Igri embraced the new leadership, signaling a united front for the future.

   Dignitaries at the event included, the NYCN State Chairman, Comr. Emmanuel Olayi, Obol Lopon of Ugep and that Ekori, Community leaders, youth delegates, as well as well-wishers from all corners of Yakurr.
