PRESS RELEASE: THE GOVERNOR DID NOT AUTHORIZE ANY N20,000.00 CHRISTMAS CASH TRANSFER

1. It has come to the knowledge of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, Governor, Ebonyi State, that a misleading and fraudulent online data collation platform for a N20,000.00 Christmas cash transfer, has been created by unknown person(s) in his name.

2. I am therefore directed by the Governor, to inform unsuspecting members of the public and Ebonyi people, that he did not authorize any platform to collate data for payment of N20,000.00 Christmas cash transfer. By all means, such should be ignored and treated as scam.

3. The Governor understands that the Yuletide season is ridden with temptations of all sorts. Partly for this reason, he proactively attended to such needs by approving N150,000.00 Christmas bonus for every State Civil Servant in Ebonyi State.

4. The general public is hereby advised to jettison this link - https://lnkshk.com/Ebonyi-20k-Xmas-Grants, as its content and motive are fake and misleading in essence and form. It is not coming from the Governor or the Government of Ebonyi State.

5. Perpetrators of such heinous acts, are warned to desist from such criminal activities or be ready to face the wrath of the law.
