Onna PDP Chapter Youth Leader Salutes Gov. Eno, Party Stakeholders

The newly-elected youth leader of Peoples Democratic (PDP) Onna chapter, Hon. Friday Akpan, has commended Governor Umo Eno for instilling the needed principle of internal democracy within the party, He also commended all the other strata of the party's leadership and stakeholders for their effort in keeping the flag flying that resulted in the peaceful conduct of the just-concluded party's congress both at ward and chapter level across the state.
Speaking with journalists at Onna local government area recently, Akpan, who served as the immediate past councilor representing Oniong East Ward 1 in Onna local government Legislative Council between 2020 and 2023, said he is highly delighted to be elected and subsequently inaugurated as a youth leader into the PDP chapter executive in Onna.
He promised to work collectively with all members of the newly formed exco of the party to foster unity and as well sustain the tempo of the party's integration and success in Onna LGA.
He assured the youths and the entire stakeholders of the party that he would not abuse the confidence reposed on him by the people, while soliciting for people's support that would catapult the party to an enviable height.
"I thank the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, for giving me opportunity to serve the party at the chapter level and I appreciate numerous stakeholders within the party in Onna LGA, most specifically Rt. Hon. Pat Ifon and Hon. Barr. Akaniyene Idem respectively, for their support and for nominating him to serve as youth leader in the party.
"I congratulate the PDP chairmanship candidate in Onna local government area, Mr. Kufre Umoren, for his emergence at the just concluded PDP chairmanship primaries.
His nomination was unprecedented, showing the collective will of the people of Onna LGA.
"I am convinced that the party would deliver and work in collaboration with the incoming Chairman of Council in person of Mr. Kufre Umoren."
