NUJ Federated Chapel Seeks Collaboration With Private Sector, Hails NAWOJ On Women Empowerment

Chairman of Federated Chapel of the NUJ in Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Nsibiet John, says the chapel is seeking closer ties with the private sector in order to sustain it's welfare and other packages to it's members.

Comrade John, who stated this during the March Congress of the Chapel held at the NUJ Press Centre, Information Drive in Uyo, appreciated members of the chapel for their commitment and support to his leadership has enjoyed in the last two years.

 He expressed the optimism that given the level of support extended to the Exco, that more dividends of good leadership shall be bequeathed to Chapel members.

Comrade John, whose leadership of the chapel has been described as fantastically excellent by members of the union, added that the chapel leadership is in talks with some private sector operators, adding that the relationship would mutually beneficial.

Comrade Nsibiet congratulated the Comrade John Okon-led Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) in Akwa Ibom state on their imminent empowerment of the women and less privilege in the society.

He described the initiative as sustained by Akwa Ibom NAWOJ under Nsikak Okon as legendary, excellent and an action that has touches of humanity.

He encouraged members of the chapel to identify with NAWOJ while also assuring the Women Journalists that the Federated Chapel will continue to support the body in everywhere possible.
