LG Elections: C'River APC Pegs Chairmanship, Councillorship Expression Of Interest, Nomination Forms At N15m, N6m Respectively

AHEAD of local government elections in Cross River, the state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) have allegedly pegged Expression of Interest (EOIF) and Nomination Forms (NF) for chairman and councilor at N15m and N6m respectively, THE BEAGLE NEWS can authouritatively reveal.
According to THE BEAGLE NEWS findings, the Expression of Interest Form for chairmanship aspirants is N5m and Nomination Form will go for N10m while councilorship Expression of Interest Form is N1m and Nomination Form will go for N5m.
Sources close to the party secretariat revealed that though this is still unofficial, but that is the tentative proposal to be tabled before the governor and other critical stakeholders soon.
The source said the essence is to cut down on avalanche of aspirants that are springing up across the local government areas as well be able to control the processes.
A top party official, who spoke off record, said: "We are worried at hundreds of aspirants that have resumed discreet campaigns for chairmanship seats even before the whistle for election is blown.
"Almost every local government area has over 10 aspirates carrying out consultations physically and on social media. If go through Whatsapp platforms you marvel as most of the have started reeling our their manigestoes promising heaven- on-earth even when the party has issued election guidelines.
