Item Community Association Honours Senator Odey With Excellence Service Award

Item Community Development Association in Wanikade Ward has honoured urbane Senator Stephen Odey with an award of excellence. 

Presenting the award to the Commissioner for Education at Aliforkpa, Yache, at the weekend, the community explained that the Senator "has been very instrumental in advancing rural access to education across rural communities in Cross River State".

Reeling out the scorecard of the Senator in the community, the central chief of Item which comprised several communities, Chief Etep Ikade, said the commissioner's passion in charting a new cause of development through provision of sensitive amenities to Community Primary School at Item and provision of herbicides for farmers in Item.

The people pledged continuous support to the leadership credentials of distinguished senator Odey.

Responding, Dr Odey promised to do more and ensure dividends of democracy is brought closer to the people.

He thanked the community for appreciating his contributions to the growth of the people.
