Info Boss Commends Gov Otu On Moves To Rejig Gov't, Review Service

The Cross River State Commissioner for Information, Mr Erasmus Ekpang has commended Governor Bassey Otu's commitment to rejig the good governance structure in the State as well as review the Civil service.

The Commissioner who stated this in his remarks on the occasion of the 63rd independence celebration at the U. J. Essence's stadium today acknowledged the adjustment in the workers take home to cushion effects of high inflation and the introduction of a 31-Ministry structure to drive his policy thrusts for socio-economic development of the State.

He said the "event provides a unique platform for us to reminiscent on the many struggles of our Nationalists leaders who gave us this sovereignty that we celebrate today."

He reminded all on the need to continue to pay glowing tribute to fallen heroes and salute the courage, determination and commitment of leaders that sustained the country's unity as one indivisible nation till date.

Mr Ekpang assured of his team's commitment to building on the successes of the past while breaking new grounds in the implementation of schedules in line with the Ministry's mandate.

He disclose that the celebration is low key in line with the people's first agenda of His Excellency in order to channel resources to the general welfare of the citizens like the provision of palliatives .
