Dr. Ayuk Appointed Health Commissioner As Governor Otu Inaugurates Exco

The State Governor, Sen. Bassey Otu, Wednesday, inaugurated successfully screened nominee commissioners into the state executive council.
Renowned medical doctor and health management expert, Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk was duly assigned to oversee the Ministry of Health, former Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Sen. Stephen Odey, was appointed Commissioner for Education, while former spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Erasmus Ekpang was named Commissioner for Information and Orientation.
The son of ex-Finance Minister during the Sani Abacha military regime (Anthony Ani), Barr. Ededem Ani, is to serve as the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the State.
Out of the 31Commissioners, 25 are males and six females, all duly screened by the judicial committee of the Assembly headed by Rt. Hon. Davies Etta.
The six female commissioners include Bishop Margaret Ene-Ita, Dr Beatrice Igwe, Agnes Astu, Mrs Abigail Duke, Lawrencia Ita and Dr Helen Agan Isamoh.
