Cross River Commissioner for Aviation, Capt. Eno Utum Inah Retd, has stated that the State Government is committed to boosting the aviation sector to a brand to be reckoned with among the comity of airlines in Nigeria.

Capt. Inah was speaking to newsmen in reaction to return of services of Aero Cally (the state-owned airline managed by Aero Contractors) to Calabar.

Eno expressed delight at the development, which has brought the needed relieve to the already busy air schedules to the State ahead of Africa's biggest street party - Carnival Calabar International Festival.

He said the state government's commitment to boost the sector was given added impetus by Governor Bassey Otu's recent pronouncement at the official welcoming of Aero Cally to Calabar to increase the Aero Cally fleet with three additional aircrafts.

The Commissioner noted that with the additional planes, Cross River State is ready for a robust aviation business.

Capt. Inah expressed his deep gratitude to Aero-Cally management team for graciously responding timely to the arrangements reached at a meeting in this respect.

He called on Cross Rivererians to utilize the services of Aero Cally to encourage and support the disposition of the Aero- Cally management, especially in view of the fact that we are now the airliner with the most pocket friendly airfare in the country.
