C'River HOS, Establishment Commissioner Conduct Unscheduled Inspection To MDAs

The Cross River State Head of Service, Mr. Timothy Ogbang Akwaji and the Commissioner for Establishment, Training and Pensions, Hon. Lawrencia Ita, have both conducted unscheduled routine visits to Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the State capital, Calabar.
Such visits are in line with the Head of Service's administrative mandate to ensure checks and balances in the administration of the State civil service.
Upon the team's arrival at the Cross River Internal Revenue Service building, New Secretariat Complex, at 8:45 am, on Tuesday the 29th of August, 2023, Mr. Akwaji commended the Director of Administration, Mr. Uket Bassey Uket for his punctuality to work while encouraging him to instill such discipline in the CRIRS staff and re validating his authority as the administrative head to close the time book at the appropriate time.
The Head of Service directed the Director of Administration, to query staff who had not come to work as at that time, with a 24-hour ultimatum to respond while also copying his office.
Charging members of Staff on the need to adhere to civil service rules, the Establishment, Training and Pensions Commissioner, Hon. Lawrencia Ita informed that the Governor Bassey Otu-led administration is poised to revamping the State civil service, therefore workers are expected to deliver on their job charge.
Other MDAs visited include: the Ministries of Local Government Affairs, International Donor Coordination, Lands, Health, Education and Justice; Civil Service Commission; State Planning Commission; and Office of the Accountant General.
