50th Anniversary: HOD Mass Comm Emerges One of 40 Outstanding Lecturers In UNICAL
Ahead of the 50th anniversary of University of Calabar (UNICAL), the HOD Mass Communication Dr. Lawrence Ekwok, has been honoured as one of the 40 outstanding lecturers in the institution.
As part of the activities to mark the 50th Anniversary of the founding of UNICAL, the management has organised a meritorious service awards for staff who have distinguished themselves in the service of the institution.
The awards are in several categories including long and dedicated service award, best deans and outstanding lecturers in faculties/Institutes.
Speaking with THE BEAGLE NEWS shortly after the award ceremony, Dr. Lawrence Ekwok, said: "I feel honoured to be chosen as one of the 40 Outstanding Lecturers in the University of Calabar for 2024 out of several thousand lecturers.
"This award compels me to give my best to University in whatever capacity of service I find myself.
"I thank God for the honour and I appreciate the Vice Chancellor, Prof Florence Banku Obi and the awards committee for finding me worthy."
