2024 LG POLLS: Chairmanship Aspirants Picks Nomination Forms

Ahead of the October 5, 2024 local government elections in Akwa Ibom State, chairmanship aspirants have arrived the state secretariat of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) at Atan Offot to purchase their expression of interest and nomination forms.

In keeping with the schedule of collection of forms released by the party, chairmanship aspirants from Ibesikpo, Itu, Oron, Ukanafun, Obot Akara, Etim Ekpo, Ika, Nsit Atai, Udung Uko and Eket local government areas were among the first batch of aspirants to purchase the expression of Interest and nomination forms.

Speaking with Journalists shortly after obtaining their forms, some of the chairmanship aspirants maintained that they were excited about the 
robustness of the platform that the PDP offers for them to ventilate their aspiration, noting they would deploy all strategies in enlisting the widespread support of the electorates which will translate to their victories at the polls.

The state chairman of the party, Rt. Hon Elder Aniekan Akpan while overseeing the process of collecting the forms told the aspirants to ensure that they engage in robust consultation and consensus building, and adhere to all laid down guidelines throughout the process.
