C'River North Constituent Embarks On Record Breaking 474km Trekking From Obudu To Abuja In Honour Of Jarigbe

Cross River North constituent, Aruku Richard Monkom (a.k.a Eze Nmo) has embarked on record-breaking 474km trekking from Obudu to Abuja in honour of Sen. Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe.

Monkom, who took off from Obudu on March 20, 2024, is determined to trek a distance of 474 km, 294 miles, 255 nautical miles to Abuja, on a special visit and to thank Senator Jarigbe, representing Cross River North senatorial district.

Besides, the trekking is to show love to their representative and appreciate the Senator's remarkable performance and service to the constituents.

Jarigbe, who doubles as the chairman of the Senate committee on gas, would have made history as the first Senator to be visited by a constituent who is covering 474 km trekking from Obudu to Abuja without security and nobody accompanying him.

As at the time of filing this report, it was gathered that Eze Nmo is said to be around Keffi axis in Nasarawa state and may arrive Abuja by noon on Saturday. 

He was sited exchanging pleasantries with Hon. Charles Omang, a member representing Bekwara State House of Assembly at Keffi.

Omang commended Eze Nmo's determination to reach Abuja to see his Senator.

On getting wind of Aruku's historic trekking to Abuja, the Senator has decided to reschedule his itinerary for the weekend to enable him receive Eze Mmo on arrival and make it a memorable event.

He described Eze Mmo as very adventurous, saying "the trekking is a highest show of gratitude from a supporter and constituent who truly appreciates democratic dividends.

"This kind of love and appreciation would propel me to do more as long God gives me the grace."

It is expected that after a brief reception, Senator Jarigbe would travel in company of Eze Mmo to his constituency for the thanksgiving ceremony scheduled for the 31st of March 31, 2024 at Ogoja in aaaCross River North.
