Cult Leader Kills Member in Cross River State

A violent altercation within the Klans cult group in Obudu, Cross River State, has resulted in the death of one Eugene Adie, the group's second-in-command.

According to sources, the incident stemmed from a dispute between a Klans member and a member of another cult group who are brothers.

The Klans member was allegedly killed by his other brother with a machete during the altercation.

Eugene who was the second-in-command in the klans cult reported the incident to their cult leader in Obudu popularly known as Alaka while urging him to authorize a revenge attack on the brother of the slain member who is a member of a rival cult.

However, the leader refused, prompting Eugene to mobilize some members and launch an attack on the leader, questioning his leadership and calling him weak.

In a reprisal attack, the cult leader allegedly mistakenly shot Eugene during their altercation, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital by his cult members. Unfortunately, Eugene was later pronounced dead.

As at press time, Alake is allegedly said to be on the run
