C’ River NUJ Chairman Archibong Bassey, FCTs Grace Ike Listed Among 100 Nigerians Leading Change

Two female Chairmen of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ(, Archibong Etim Bassey of Cross River and Grace Ike of FCT Chapter, have been listed among the 2025 Changemakers: 100 Nigerians Leading Change for their outstanding work and leadership in the media industry.
The change makers is an annual compendium that features notable Nigerians that have made marks in their different fields of life.
The publishers of the compendium Kamonke Abam and Steve Ogah said the two journalist were chosen because of their outstanding feat by emerging the first female chairmen of NUJ in their various states in a male dominated profession.
Archibong Etim Bassey is a dedicated journalist with over two decades of experience in the electronic media with the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA).
Archibong who took up the mantle of leadership in 2024 has used her platform at NTA Calabar to shed light on the challenges faced by marginalized rural communities. Her dynamic approach to journalism has sparked public attention and prompted government intervention in rural areas.
Grace Ike, a seasoned correspondent with Advocate Broadcasting Network (ADBN TV), is a fervent advocate for inclusive reporting and professionalism with 16 years of experience in journalism, she has successfully navigated various beats and is regarded as an authority in legislative reporting, particularly in the House of Representatives.
The 2025 Changemakers list which is part of a biographical compendium published in www.livesonline.ng, also includes some notable Nigerians like Nkechi Onyinyechi Ogbonna, a journalist and West Africa Correspondent for BBC, Chairman of Cross River state Carnival Commission Dr. Gabe Onah, Professor of Arts in the University of Cross River (UNICROSS), Prof. Bojor Enamhe, broadcast journalist, Beatrice Akpala and popular Calabar restaurateur Queensly Offiong Bassey.
